Elisabeth is a teacher of Modern Languages and has taught French, Welsh and English in Secondary schools in the Swnasea area for 25 years.

Her other passion is music, and at the age of 14 she first played the organ at Gibeon Chapel Taibach. At the same time she accompanied the Cwmavon Aelwyd Choir, under the baton of the late Gwylfa Powell, and went on to win 1st prize at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Porthaethwy in 1976.

After completing her degree studies in England and France, Elisabeth returned to Port Talbot and joined the Cymric Male Choir as accompanist in 1987, with whom she spent 17 years alongside Roger Chilcott as Musical Director.

Her links with Matthew Lewis began during this time and since February 2015 she has been delighted to have the opportunity to work with him again in her role as accompanist to Cor Serenata and from October 2015 she will return back to the Cymric Choir in her role as thier Accompanist.

A Family choir who take their singing seriously, tour abroad extensively, and share many moments of hilarity.

The Cymric as it is affectionately known is one of the oldest choirs in Wales having been established in 1911 by Mr John Bowen Davies.
